Batteries
If smart detectors aren’t an option, smart 9V batteries can be installed in smoke detectors that provide notifications upon removal. Once notified, you can let guests know where replacements are or send someone to put them back in.
Electrical fire
The early issues that lead to electrical fires can be detected through electrical testers and meters that monitor micro-arcs and sparks in faulty wires and devices. These tools detect electrical hazards before an electrical fire and send you advanced warnings to notify you to take action.
Illuminated escape
A favourite safety feature among travellers is a smart detector that automatically lights the way for guests finding their way in the dark, reducing the chance of falling or bumping into things in an unfamiliar house.
Security system
Keep your property safe from unwanted entry and prevent fire damage by connecting a security system to your holiday rental. Most systems notify authorities, so you don’t have to rely on travellers to make the call for you.
Check all applicable laws, rules and regulations regarding the use of security cameras and other surveillance equipment in and around your property. Always inform your guests about any cameras and show them where they’re placed and the area they cover. Never position any camera where somebody could reasonably expect privacy.
