What is ranking?
To match travellers with their perfect holiday rental, we use machine learning to understand what travellers want for an upcoming trip. Our ranking system looks at all the properties in the area, comparing amenities, number of bedrooms, location, reviews and other criteria. Then, it ranks all properties — including yours — based on how well it fits the traveller’s needs.
This ranking is combined with an individual traveller’s preferences — including stay dates, search filters and other personalisation factors — to determine where your property shows up in their search results.
What does that mean for me?
By combining what we know about your property and what we know about a traveller’s preferences, we’re able to display your property at the top of the search results of the travellers most likely to book it. Here’s what you can do to stand out in the search results:
- Create high-quality content. First impressions are critical! How travellers respond to your photos, amenities and descriptions affects your rank. Win/loss posts in your dashboard feed can give you valuable insight into what makes or breaks your property for a traveller.
