Providing special amenities can drive bookings to your holiday rental listing. If you’ve worked hard to make your holiday rental fun and inviting, don’t forget to advertise it on your listing.
Travellers often filter their searches for properties by amenities, so you’ll want to make sure you appear in every relevant search. The top five amenities that travellers search for include:
- Kitchens
- Television
- Wireless Internet
- Parking (free, covered, etc.)
- Allowing pets (technically a house rule, but to pet lovers it’s an amenity!)
Other amenities like swimming pools, hot tubs, cable or satellite TV, fireplaces and availability of washer/dryer should be featured in your photos on your holiday rental listing.
Amenities also include nearby local attractions, and travellers will filter their searches for these, too. Is your property near the water? Where are the nearest local attractions? If your property is by the beach, make sure that ‘beach’ is selected as a nearby attraction so you appear in those relevant searches.

How it works
Adding amenities to your listing is easy and only requires ticking a few boxes. To add amenities to your listing, follow these steps.
- First, review your holiday rental listing and property description for your current amenities.
- Navigate to your property editor, under ‘Amenities’, to add or update your listing. There you‘ll see the amenities categorised by section. Review and tick each box that applies.
- If you offer amenities that aren’t listed — such as a refrigerator with an icemaker, a Nespresso machine or a king-size bed — you can enter these other important details in your property description. Every detail you add can help set you apart from other similar properties.
- Highlight nearby local attractions and special activities, as well as the nearest airport or rail station, under the ‘Location’ tab.
For integrated partners, please update all amenities through your connectivity provider. If you edit amenities through the Property Editor, your changes may be overwritten. Reach out to your provider to understand how your property’s amenities map to our platform.
The more amenities you add, the more likely you’ll show up when travellers search for similar properties. Revisit your listing regularly to make sure your amenities stay up to date.

The visibility of your property is increased when you provide more detailed information. Great photos and information about the area help travellers imagine their stay and prompt them to book. Keeping your listing up to date with photos and amenities will help you stay competitive.
Upload quality photos that clearly and completely describe your property. Travellers use photos in many different ways: to get a quick look at the property, to scrutinise the presence and quality of your property amenities and to get excited about staying at a unique and beautiful holiday rental. Make sure you upload photos of every space at your property – especially the entrance! This is how travellers will locate your property when they drive in.
Travellers want a complete description of a property through photos, so we recommend uploading at least 25 high-quality photos to your property listing.
Compared with using your dashboard on a desktop, there are some limitations. You can use your owner mobile app to edit your listing, adjust property settings and review your performance.
Tell your guests to download the traveller app and log in with the same credentials that they used to create the reservation. Your guests will be able to access the information under “My Trips.”
If your guest does not want to download the app or is unable to download the app, they can access the information on the web. Your guest will log in to their account from a computer and select “My Trips” from the dropdown where their name appears at the top of the page. Then they’ll select your property to see your welcome guide content.
Our easy-to-use owner dashboard will be the primary location for managing your reservations, updating rates and keeping your listing up to date. Some partners choose to use a software provider to link our systems. They still log in to the owner dashboard to leverage our more advanced tools like MarketMaker and Boost.
